Following diplomatic negotiations, Environment Minister Murat Kurum announced that the COP31 Conference of the Parties will be hosted and chaired by Turkey.
Minister Kurum announced in his statement that the COP31 Conference of the Parties, held under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, will be held in Türkiye.
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that Türkiye will be both the term presidency and host of COP31.
Following the negotiations held at the 30th Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC/UNFCCC held in Brazil under the chairmanship of COP30 Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum, it was decided that next year’s COP31 Conference of the Parties will be hosted and chaired by Turkey.
