In June, government MPs proposed an amendment to the Conflict of Interest Act, which experts say would solve the problems of Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO). Minister for Regional Development Zuzana Mrázová (ANO) confirmed some of the criticism in the comment procedure. She states, among other things, that the amendment would "make it easier for fraud and corruption."
The parliamentary amendment, which would significantly weaken conflict of interest rules in favor of the Agrofert concern and Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, is unlikely to be as far-reaching as the coalition parties' proponents originally planned.
