A new plant species, named "Fritillaria damlana," was discovered as a result of three years of field research conducted on Kurtik Mountain in Muş, and has been introduced to the scientific world.
The new plant species discovered in Muş has been named "Fritillaria damlana". Resembling the fritillary tulip but differing in structure, this new species, which grows only in Muş in the world, has been published in the international peer-reviewed journal Phytotaxa.
As a result of extensive field studies conducted by a research team led by Prof. Dr. Murat Kürşat, a faculty member of the Biology Department at Bitlis Eren University (BEÜ) Faculty of Science and Literature, on Kurtik Mountain in Muş, a brand new endemic plant species that grows only in this region in the world has been discovered.
