A new study by researchers at Northern Arizona University suggests that life on our closest exoplanets is significantly behind the science fiction narrative. Due to weaker light and limited photosynthesis, the amount of plant energy on these planets has been too low, meaning that most of our stellar neighbors are likely still in the microbial stage of development.
