'Big Bang Theory' Spinoff a Go at HBO Max
LOS ANGELES, JUL 9 – The spinoff features extensive CGI and superhero satire as Stuart Bloom must fix a multiverse Armageddon caused by a device from Sheldon and Leonard, HBO Max said.
- HBO Max announced a new series called Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, set in The Big Bang Theory franchise, on July 9, 2025.
- Kevin Sussman will reprise his role as Stuart Bloom, who must fix a device that causes a multiverse Armageddon, with help from friends.
- Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, creators of The Big Bang Theory, will return as executive producers for the new show, which will also include Zak Penn as an executive producer.
- Casey Bloys, chairman and CEO of HBO, expressed excitement about continuing The Big Bang Theory's legacy with the new show, which aims to maintain the essence of The Big Bang Theory with a fresh twist.
