Double Injury Blow for Ireland as Doris and O'Brien to Miss July Tests in Nations Championship
Dan Sheehan will captain Ireland as uncapped Ulster brothers Bryn and Zac Ward replace injured players for the three-match tour.
Ireland captain Caelan Doris and teammate Tommy O'Brien will miss next month's Nations Championship after sustaining injuries during Leinster's United Rugby Championship final win on Friday.
Doris suffered a foot injury during the 36-7 victory over the Bulls at Croke Park, while O'Brien departed at half-time with a groin issue.
Hooker Dan Sheehan replaces Doris as captain for the tour, while uncapped Ulster brothers Bryn Ward and Zac Ward join the squad as injury replacements.
Head coach Andy Farrell faces a depleted roster after Jack Crowley and Andrew Porter were previously ruled out, alongside Mack Hansen and Calvin Nash among others.
The Ireland squad departs for Sydney on Monday ahead of their opening Nations Championship match against the Wallabies on July 4, followed by fixtures against Japan and the All Blacks.
