Iran claims it is ready to negotiate with countries that wish to discuss safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, stating that several countries have already contacted them, but did not specify which countries.
The important Strait of Hormuz does not appear to be completely closed. According to reports, Iran is allowing tankers from countries that are not allied with the US and Israel through.
