From North to Alentejo, mid-Portugal is on a weather alert. Warnings cover North, Central and South between 12:00 and 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Several netizens shared images of hailfall on social networks in different locations in the North of the country. Today, more hail, thunder and rain are expected. Eleven districts are even under yellow warning.
North and Central of the country under weather alert due to rains and thunderstorms
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) placed 11 districts of the continent under yellow warning on Tuesday due to the forecast of sometimes strong showers, which can be hail and thunder.
The yellow warning will be in effect between 12:00 and 18:00 today, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).
