David Pettigrew, a Southern Connecticut State University professor with the support of the World for Bosnia Initiative, sent a letter to the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, in which he expressed serious concern about the recent funeral and public glorification of convicted war criminal Ratko Mladic in Serbia.
While Ursula von der Leyen bypasses Bosnia and Serbia on her tour of the Western Balkans, Professor David Pettigrew and the "World for Bosnia" Initiative, which brings together citizens' associations in the diaspora, have asked European Commissioner Marta Kos to suspend European Union funding for Serbia due to the glorification of war criminal Ratko Mladić, convicted of genocide and other crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
