Rugby: an Investigation Opened in Paris After Accusations About Lesbophobes at the Stade Français

The Paris Public Prosecutor's Office announced that an investigation had been launched following a complaint by a leader of the women's section of the French rugby club against its sports director. He was accused of harassment and speech by Lesbophobes, as Mediapart revealed.

At issue, the sports director responsible for non-professional teams was suspended from his duties with the women's section but retained the rest of his prerogatives. The FFR Disciplinary Board was also seized.

The Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed on Tuesday 27 May that it had received a complaint "repeating the acts of moral harassment and homophobic statements" by the sports director of the club. The Fédération française de rugby also dealt with a report.
