Investigation after body of woman found at house in Cork
- On Friday, Gardaí found Kelly Cremin, 32, dead at a house in Innishmore Park, Ballincollig at about 5.30pm, and An Garda Síochána are investigating the death after emergency services responded.
- Gardaí say they are treating the death as suspicious and requested the State Pathologist's Office because the woman suffered facial and head injuries and may have been dead for up to 24 hours.
- Neighbours of Innishmore Park discovered the front door open and a body at the top of the stairs after emergency calls around 5pm, while Scenes of Crime forensic teams sealed the house and began inquiries including CCTV canvassing.
- The body was taken to Cork University Hospital morgue, a family liaison officer was assigned, no arrests were made, and anyone with information should contact Togher Garda station on 4947120.
- The community has been left deeply shaken, with Joe Lynch saying 'This is a truly shocking incident, and it has caused major upset in what is a close, tight-knit community', while Garda sources hope forensic examination results will guide the investigation.
