A street vendor in Hanoi's Old Quarter has been fined after charging a foreign tourist VND430,000 for a small bag of donuts in an incident that sparked widespread criticism online.

According to the video, the vendor packaged about 10 donuts and one small pastry for the customer. After receiving the items, the tourist handed over a 500,000 VND note and received 75,000 VND in change. The tourist then gave the vendor another 5,000 VND note.
(Dan Tri Newspaper) - A foreign customer repeatedly asked for the price, but the seller didn't answer and quickly grabbed several donuts and put them into a plastic bag. The customer then paid 420,000 VND for the small bag of donuts.
