Ministers are targeting freer services, faster trade approvals and mutual recognition rules as economists say removing barriers could lift GDP by billions.

- Corinne Pohlmann, executive vice-president of advocacy at the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses, said the group felt officials "took their foot off the pedal a little bit" in recent months. Pohlmann welcomed the renewed push but urged faster action.
