ICJ Orders Israel to Halt Military Offensive in Rafah
The court order, which includes an increase in humanitarian aid to the region as well as access to the area for war crimes investigators, will no doubt be difficult to enforce. The judges have also said that Israel must open the Rafah crossing for the “unhindered” provision of aid to Palestinians.
Notwithstanding the order of the International Court of Justice, there are signs that Israel is continuing its military operation in Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
