Washington College sailing placed sixth out of 10 teams at the Kingsmill Cup, while Imogene Nuss finished 17th at the Faye Bennet Women’s Singles Regatta with 217 points. Padilla Velasquez 6th at Faye Bennet - Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Two members of the William Smith sailing team competed at the Faye Bennet Trophy, the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association Women's Singlehanded Championship, this past weekend, Sept. 19- 20. Sophomore Moira Padilla Velasquez led the way for the Herons, finishing sixth.

Intercollegiate Sailing Wins a Pair of Home Regattas

The Navy intercollegiate sailing team hosted three events this weekend in Annapolis, highlighted by the first conference championship of the year in the MAISA Women's Singlehanded Championship for the Faye Bennet Trophy. The Midshipmen were able to take first place in both the Chesapeake Invitational and Chesapeake Open, while freshman Danielle Lynch-Smith placed seventh at the Faye Bennet Trophy.
