Inter Milan Bids Emotional Farewell to 4 Veterans as Contracts Expire

On Tuesday, Inter Milan parted ways with goalkeeper Yann Sommer and veteran defenders Vrij, Francesco Acerbi, and Matteo Darmian after their contracts expired.
The Serie champion Inter released the four stalwart players following the conclusion of their respective contract terms at the club.
Vrij spent eight seasons at Inter, while Darmian stayed for six; Acerbi served four years, and Sommer spent three at the club.
Collectively, the group secured multiple Serie titles and Italian Cups, while also recording Champions League runner-up finishes during their tenures.
