The volume of turnover in the trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles decreased in July 2026, compared to June 2026, both as a gross series by 2.8%, and as a series adjusted according to the number of working days and seasonality by 2.5%, amid the decline recorded in the trade in motor vehicles (9.3%), the National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced on Thursday.
The car market slowed down strongly this summer. Business in the motor vehicle trade fell by almost 18% in July compared to the same month in 2025. For the first seven months, the decline is 2.4%.
