Georgetown Co. Inmate Dies While In Custody
An inmate at the Georgetown County Detention Center has died. Shortly before 6pm Monday, detention staff noticed 36-year-old Jonathan Turbeville appeared incoherent in his cell. EMS was called and Turbeville was taken to the ER where he later died. The inmate was arrested on August 15 on charges of manufacturing, distribution, and possession of a Schedule I narcotic, believed to be fentanyl.
