Info Le Progrès. The Prefect of the Rhone and Region Fabienne Buccio has decided to ban the possession, transport, use and consumption of nitrous oxide for diverted purposes in the department from this Friday 19 December.
Minors who consume nitrous oxide risk permanent damage to the nervous system. Nevertheless, it circulates as a party drug. Now the Federal Council approves a law against it and adopts strict rules for another chemical.
The Prefect of the Rhone prohibits the possession and consumption of nitrous oxide for recreational purposes in public spaces.
Nitrous oxide has become a risky recreational drug and has been easy to obtain – even for young people. Now, a law has been passed to stop this nationwide.
