Inflation in Norway has picked up. However, Kyrre Knudsen, chief economist at SpareBank 1, believes that the new inflation figures contain good news for anyone hoping to avoid an interest rate hike.
A number of economists believe Thursday's inflation figures make it uncertain whether Norges Bank will raise interest rates in a couple of weeks.
The consumer price index fell 0.3 percent from July to August this year and was 3.3 percent higher in August than in August a year ago.
