Statistics agency confirmed the rapid growth estimate of GDP by 1.9% in terms of homologous terms in the first quarter and 0.6% in comparison to chain.
The Portuguese economy grew by 1.9%, in terms of homologous terms, in the second quarter – confirmed INE, repeating the first estimate made a few weeks ago. In chains, the economy increased by 0.6%.


"The Gross Domestic Product (PIB), in volume, recorded a 1.9% homologous variation in the second quarter of 2025, higher rate than 0.2 percentage points observed in the previous quarter," the INE, confirming the rapid estimate published at the end of July. In nominal terms, the PIB increased 6.0% in terms of homologous (5.2% in the previous quarter), with the deflator involved in registering a variation rate of 4.1% (3.5% in the first quarter). …
According to the estimated r demand, growth has been 1.9% in terms of human logos and 0.6% in chain.
