Since October 2025, the joint union Nouvel Espace du Cher (NEC) has been carrying out a restoration project for this portion of the Petit Cher extending approximately 700 metres in the Pont-aux-Oies sector. This project follows interventions carried out in 2021 and 2023, with the aim of restoring the stream to a more natural morphology as well as a better ecological quality.
