Jet Airways’ first of 3 B777 departs Mumbai for life as freighter

A Boeing 777-300ER from Jet Airways has finally taken off from Mumbai after being grounded for four years. This aircraft, now re-registered, is en route to Tel Aviv for conversion into a freighter. It is part of a $46 million deal involving three wide-body jets, which faced delays due to legal issues concerning unpaid airport fees. The National Company Law Tribunal has now approved the sale.
