The number of active Covid-19 cases neared the 6,000 mark over the past 24 hours, data showed on Saturday. India's number of active Covid-19 cases has increased to 5,755 in the past day.

Kolkata: West Bengal reported 71 new cases of coronavirus infection, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Sunday. The new cases were reported since Saturday and there was no death due to the disease during this period.
