Increasing minimum wage rates: A student perspective

Effective October 1, 2024, Ontario’s general minimum wage rate will see a 3.9 per cent increase from $16.55 to $17.20 per hour. The student minimum wage, for those under the age of 18, will see an increase from $15.60 to $16.20 an hour.
