Inaugural baseball season gets new start date
The Palmetto State Baseball League announced Friday it would push back the start of its 2026 season. The newly formed Garden City River Ducks were scheduled to open their inaugural season Monday, June 1 against Easley at Mirmow Field in Orangeburg. The team’s general manager Jason Turnblad said the season will begin one week later, making the new Opening Day Monday, June 8.
