Through coordinated efforts over the past seven months, significant success has been achieved in combating terrorist propaganda and disinformation activities in the digital realm. Access restrictions have been imposed on a total of 6,644 social media accounts.
In Turkey, access to a total of 6,644 social media accounts has been blocked in the last 7 months, including 3,679 accounts linked to FETÖ and 2,965 accounts spreading disinformation. The most blocks were applied to platform X, while artificial agendas and bot accounts are also detected through real-time analysis.
Within the scope of coordinated efforts carried out by the General Directorate of Security's Cyber Crimes Department, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, and the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), under the coordination of the Presidency of Communications, significant results have been achieved in the last 7 months against terrorist propaganda and disinformation activities in the digital realm.
