The snowstorm also affected Slovenian settlements in the Porabje region in western Hungary. It caused extensive snowfall and damaged almost all of the local electrical infrastructure. The mayor of the largest Porabje settlement, Gornji Senik, Szabolcs Andrejek, told STA that in some places residents were without electricity for several days, at most for almost two weeks.
