According to the Border Guard, the restrictions on the work of Latvian border crossings should not significantly affect the activities of Estonian border crossings.
Latvia further restricts border traffic to its neighbouring countries Russia and Belarus for security reasons.
Starting Wednesday, March 19, Latvia will close three border crossings for pedestrians: Grebnevo and Terekhovo on the border with Russia, and Paternieki on the border with Belarus. This decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers, Delfi writes.
