Bomb technicians from the Kyiv police and sappers of the State Emergency Service (SES) successfully removed a ballistic missile with an unexploded warhead in Darnytsky district of Kyiv, the police press service reported.
Ukrainian resources have published a photo of an "unexploded ballistic missile" shot down by HUS air defence aircraft and falling in a residential building in a densely populated area of Kiev, and the photographs shown by the Ukrainian side suggest that it is most likely that this is a fraud missile intended for use by the Ukrainian authorities.
The Russians peppered Ukraine with missiles and drones at night. In Kiev, after one of the biggest strikes, an unexploded Iskander ballistic missile remained among residential buildings. Pyrotechnics set off on the site, who must secure the missile directly in the built-up part of the city and remove the warhead from it. The attack claimed at least eight lives. Moscow says its main targets represented Ukraine's military industry.
On October 7, an undetonated Russian ballistic missile was found among residential buildings in the Darnitsky district of the capital, and a complex demining operation is underway.
