In Moscow, Russians Worry About New Fuel Shortages

Drivers at several Moscow stations lined up for fuel as local shortages returned after Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries, AFP reported.

  • Taxi driver Nursultan Akhmadov from Kyrgyzstan noted rising costs for petrol, groceries, and utilities. "Everything keeps getting more expensive," he said, adding he is leaving Russia in 10 days.
  • Opinions divided among residents: 32-year-old Semyon worried about engine repairs, while Pavel, 43, remained unconcerned. "Moscow has to be Russia's shop window," Pavel added, suggesting authorities would prevent shortages.
