Militants of the Democratic Left Party (ID), led by Holver Giler Macías, provincial president of Sucumbíos, challenged the convening of the extraordinary national convention aimed at the election of the new party's directive. They also filed appeals with the Electoral Dispute Tribunal (ECT) and on the eve of the resignation of the three members of the internal electoral tribunal of the political organization.
