GOP lawmaker says he will move to expel Omar

Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.) said Friday that he plans to introduce a resolution to expel Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) if a federal investigation finds she broke the law. The Florida Republican is a conservative firebrand sometimes known for his past controversial comments, including describing Omar as a “terrorist” in 2025, a comment which House Democrats condemned as racist.
