‘I’d probably be dead’ without it, say New Glasgow shelter users defending beleaguered facility

Northstar Shelter and Support Services, previously known as Viola's Place, has been the subject of complaints from residents, business owners and municipal politicians related to disturbances, thefts and drug use around the property. But some of the people who have used the facility and its services say it’s doing more good than bad in the community.
