Tokihiko Yabe (84) and his wife Katsue (82) of Daito, Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture, underwent extensive renovations to their home this year. They are celebrating the third anniversary of their daughter Kaori Akutagawa's death in the house that they had poured their heart and soul into planning. Looking at a portrait of their daughter smiling at the newly purchased Buddhist altar, Tokihiko spoke to her.
