Offered since the Covid pandemic, the learning holidays have now settled well in the French school landscape. We went to see how one of these internships is going to fight against dropping out of school in a priority educational institution of Épinay-sur-Seine, in Seine-Saint-Denis, a few days from the official start Monday. Surprise: most children are happy to be there.
While most schoolchildren enjoy their last days of respite, thousands of children have already reinvested classes through the government system. As at Romain-Rolland d'Epinay-sur-Seine school, where school reviews alternate with cultural outings.
Small refreshers or board games, schools welcome their students for the learning holiday scheme that aims to bridge between the summer and the return to the school's benches.
