The Head of European Diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, gave up, under pressure from several EU Member States, the plan to form a group of experts to strengthen defence in the EU, reveals POLITICAL. The initiative was seen as a way for Kallas to maintain its influence in the area of security and defence, in the context of France and Germany's struggle for major reform of the EU Diplomatic Service, led by Estonian politician.
