- On Monday, Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the Ioniq 3 at Milan Design Week, a fully electric compact hatchback the automaker calls an "Aero Hatch" designed to maximize interior space.
- Built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform, the vehicle measures 4,155 mm long and introduces the brand's "Art of Steel" design language to create "upper-segment roominess" despite its compact size.
- The Ioniq 3 introduces the Android-based Pleos Connect infotainment system with intuitive controls. DC fast charging reaches 80 percent from 10 percent in approximately 29 minutes for the standard 42.2 kWh battery.
- Positioned below the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 3 fills the gap between the Inster and Ioniq 5 with a targeted 308-mile range for the long-range model. Pricing is expected to start at around €25,000.
- Despite European production in Turkey, the Ioniq 3 is not expected to reach Americans, as analysts cite the Trump administration's tariffs as the primary barrier to market entry.
