It's only days before the new federal Royal ID requirement comes into effect nationwide. As of Wednesday, May 7, this new security standard for U.S. driver's licenses and ID cards will be mandatory in all states, including Massachusetts. This means that if you plan to travel by plane or access federal facilities from May 2025, you will have to submit the Royal ID.
