Huca Lowers Mortality After Discharge From Heart Failure by 43%

The Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias (HUCA) has reduced mortality by 43 per cent to 30 days after the discharge of patients hospitalized for heart failure. This rate is now 4.3 per cent, well below the average of 27 hospitals participating in the Care Models for Heart Failure (MAIC) project.
