Houston Dash fire coach Fabrice Gautrat and technical director Twila Kilgore
Jaime Frias takes over as interim coach as the Dash begin a search for a permanent replacement after a 15-24-11 run.
On Sunday, the Houston Dash fired head coach Fabrice Gautrat and technical director Twila Kilgore, naming Jaime Frias as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
Houston currently sits 12th in the 16-team NWSL, 11 points out of playoff position following Saturday's 1-0 home loss to the Utah Royals.
Since former coach James Clarkson departed in 2022, the club has cycled through seven coaches over four years, with Gautrat serving as the sixth head coach in team history.
"Our conviction in this group has not wavered," Houston Dash president of women's soccer Angela Hucles Mangano said, adding the decision reflects commitment to the team's long-term ambitions.
The club has already initiated a search for a permanent head coach, as both Gautrat and Kilgore will not return for the 2027 season.
