House fire early Saturday morning in Thurlow

Belleville firefighters made quick work of a house fire in Thurlow on Saturday morning. Crews responded to a fire at 2:07 am in the 200 block of River Road. Firefighters quick response kept the damage to a rear upper storey bedroom of the home. There were no injuries. The investigation is underway to determine a cause. A full damage estimate is not yet available.

No injuries in house fire

A fast response by Belleville rural firefighters kept fire damage to a house in Thurlow ward to a minimum early Saturday morning. Crews from Stations 3 and 4 were called out at 2:07 a.m. to a large 2 storey brick home in the 200 block of River Road. Fire damage was held to just one upper floor bedroom with some smoke and water damage in the rest of the house. The residents escaped safely and there were no injuries.  An investigation into a cause…
