The Earth's temperature has climbed by roughly 2 degrees Fahrenheit total since 1880, a trend reflected in recent years marking some of the hottest months on record.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, in 2022 the continental United States experienced its third hottest July since 1895, while 20 states saw one of their 10 hottest days.
