Hornets secure Brandon Miller with a 5-year, $209 million contract extension, AP source says
- On Monday, the Charlotte Hornets signed forward Brandon Miller to a five-year, $209 million rookie-scale contract extension, representatives AJ Vaynerchuk and Joey Middleton of VaynerSports confirmed to ESPN's Shams Charania.
- Selected by the Hornets in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Alabama, Miller was drafted behind Victor Wembanyama and has since established himself as a franchise cornerstone.
- Miller averaged a career-high 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists last season while shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from deep.
- Following the trade of LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Miller is expected to take on an even greater scoring role in the Hornets' offense this season.
- This commitment cements one of the Hornets' key young pieces as the organization builds on a promising 2025-26 season and aims to compete for playoff spots in coming years.
