The parents of Skylar Holsapple, a Marshall County High School student who committed suicide in June of 2025, have filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Marshall Circuit Court alleging Marshall County Board of Education and district employees Brent Lovett, Shannon Solomon, Evan Merrick and Tracy Watwood were aware of bullying, harassment, intimidation and other actions committed by students which led to an unsafe environment.
