TAIPEI — Thursday will mark the 30 years since the untimely death of popular Taiwan singer Teresa Teng. Ahead of the anniversary, Teng Chang-fu, her older brother and the chairman of the board of the Teresa Teng Foundation, sat down with The Yomiuri Shimbun for an interview in Taipei on Monday.

It has been 30 years since the eternal queen of pop Teresa Teng passed away. Today (8th) at 10 a.m., the Teresa Teng Cultural and Educational Foundation held a concert at Yun Garden in Jinbaoshan, New Taipei City. Fans from all over the world gathered to mourn her. Her Japanese agent when she was alive, 92-year-old Minoru Funaki, flew to Taiwan specially and burned incense for her on the spot today.
