Dior Cruise 2027: Old Hollywood Fantasy

On Wednesday, May 13, creative director Jonathan Anderson debuted his first Dior Cruise collection at the Los Angeles County Museum, featuring colorful embellished gowns and fresh interpretations of the Bar jacket.
Dior aims to honor its long relationship with Hollywood, a crucial American market where the brand competes with Chanel, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton in hosting major U.S. shows.
Anderson's collection featured drop-waist silhouettes and floral appliqués alongside reissued archival pieces, including the Dior Cadillac Bag first introduced in 2001 and newspaper prints inspired by John Galliano.
Models wore Isabella Blow-style headpieces by Philip Treacy spelling out "Buzz," "Star," or "Dior," creating a glamorous aesthetic that dazzled under the lights of Hollywood.
The show's theme reflected the storied Dawnridge estate of designer Tony Duquette; current owner Hutton Wilkinson noted the land was bought for $1500, "less than Dior sunglasses.
