ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The New York State Police released the number of tickets that were issued and arrests that were made over the Thanksgiving holiday. The Thanksgiving enforcement period ran from Saturday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Dec. 1. Over the weeklong campaign, police issued 24,191 tickets statewide and made 251 arrests for DWI. Police also investigated 1,259 crashes. Three of the crashes were fatal.
