The French director Alain Resnais, who was one of the first filmmakers to show in all his crudeness what had been done in the Nazi extermination camps in the documentary 'Night and fog' (1956), would also be the first to approach, in a very personal way, the sequels of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima on the 6th of 1945, just 80 years ago. He did so in 1959 in 'Hiroshima mon amour', with a beautiful and sinister text alongside Marguerite Duras.
