'Highway hero': Texas man helps save unconscious driver on highway

On Thursday during the noon hour on Loop 410 in San Antonio, Rene Villarreal-Albe maneuvered his truck ahead of an SUV and slowed both vehicles to a safe stop, with Andrea Walker recording from the passenger seat.
Villarreal-Albe said he acted after seeing someone who 'looked like they were in some type of medical condition and it made me feel like I needed to help', and he relied on a heavy-duty rear bumper installed two months ago.
After both vehicles stopped, Villarreal-Albe began pulling the driver in the SUV until a nurse who performed CPR arrived, and officials said fire department crews responded to a cardiac arrest call.
Social media hailed Villarreal-Albe as a 'highway hero,' and his sister Cortney Trinidad said, 'It just makes me so happy because I've seen that side of my brother for as long as I can remember.'
Walker recalled that when they finally came up to the impaired driver, 'he was unconscious and that's when we realized, OK, he's not gonna stop and he could hurt more people, yeah, we took action.
